Adriene is a native of Greenville who has worked in the Human Services field for the past 15 years for various agencies including Piedmont Council for Prevention of Child Abuse, Anderson Youth Association, Greenville County Health Department, and Greenville County Disabilities & Special Needs Board. Before coming to Pendleton Place, Adriene was employed for nearly 6 years as a member of the Clinical Team at Generations Group Home in Simpsonville. After returning to school and completing her degree in Human Services in 2008, Adriene was hired as a Case Manager at Pendleton Place in September 2008.
In March, 2009, Adriene transitioned into a new role as Program Manager of the Smith House Independent Living Program, where she has embraced the challenge to develop and maintain an independent living program that will equip and empower young girls with the independent living skills necessary to become productive citizens of our society once they leave the foster care system. Adriene is the proud mother of 2 adult children, Jerrell and Mikia, and 12-year old twin sons, Marcus and Malcolm. Throughout her Human Services career, Adriene has strived to live by the saying “They won’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care”.
